History:
Tansley was Originally known as St. Ann’s, community. It was officially changed in 1885 when the post office opened. Tansley was a rural farming community right up until the 1990s when the development of the present-day neighborhood began. Most of the development took place in the 2000s.
Overview:
Tansley is a newer neighborhood located in the center of Burlington. Tansley is conveniently situated just north of the QEW. This neighborhood contains a mix of apartment buildings, rowhouses, and detached homes. It is a large retirement residence and neighborhood landmark.
