Campbellville is a small community located just west of the core Milton area. It’s part of Halton Region and is along the Niagara Escarpment. It is right off the 401 and just minutes away from Kelso / Glen Eden park.

Housing in this area is mostly single-detached homes that are varied in age and architectural style; there are some estate homes on rural properties, farm homes, horse farms, as well as newer subdivisions with large properties.
History
Campbellville is named after John Campbell who emigrated to Canada from Scotland in 1832 and established a homestead in what was formerly known as the Township of Nassagaweya. Campbellville was considered the most prosperous hamlet in the township.
It had a sawmill, blacksmith shop, tannery, tavern, hotel, general store, and in 1849 its own post office. While Campbellville was never incorporated as a municipality it did achieve Police Village status in 1914. In 1974 Campbellville officially became part of the Town of Milton.
Amenities
Campbellville is located in West Milton, and, until 1974, was originally part of Nassagaweya Township. The area is home to conservation areas, the Mohawk Racetrack for horse racing. The quaint village features restaurants, bakeries, art studios, and gift and specialty shops. There is a strong community association that organizes improvement projects and community events.
