WHAT ARE GUARDIAN ANGELS?

Guardian Angels are blessed spirits appointed by God to be protectors and defenders of mankind. Faith teaches us that we all have Guardian Angels who watch over us during the whole course of our lives. Guardian Angels strive to keep us on the right path, suggest good thoughts and holy desires, offer our prayers and good actions to God and, above all, assist us at the hour of death. Pope Francis reminds us that we can examine our own conscience: “How is my relationship with my guardian angel? Do I listen to him? Do I speak to him? Do I ask for his advice? Is he beside me?”…In doing so, we evaluate “the relationship with this angel that the Lord has sent to guard us and accompany us on the path, and who always beholds the face of the Father who is in Heaven.” The feast day of Guardian Angels is observed on October 2.As originally published by Guardian Angels Catholic ES
