The Beaty neighborhood started in 2001, these first homes to be built in “New Milton”. Beaty is bounded by Derry Rd – Louis St. Laurent Ave – James Snow Pkwy – Thompson Rd. This neighborhood was named for the Beaty Family who farmed in Trafalgar Township for more than a century. John Beaty emigrated from Ireland in 1820 and was one of the first settlers in the new survey. Between 1856 and 1857 Beaty held several offices and made an unsuccessful attempt to win a seat in the Provincial Legislature. John’s son, William, became a pioneer of innovative agricultural practices.
The actual building of the neighborhood commenced in 2001. Beaty is located within Milton’s urban core and bordered by Derry Road to the north, Louis St. Laurent Avenue to the south, Thompson Road to the west, and James Snow Parkway to the east. There is a record of 12 neighborhood parks in the Beaty neighborhood including Beaty Neighbourhood Park North and South which forms a continuous green corridor in the center of the neighborhood. There are public and a catholic school within this neighborhood as well as a public library.
The Beaty neighborhood lies in east Milton, and started development in 2001—the first homes to be built in “New Milton.” Homes are mainly large detached, with some semi-detached homes and townhomes. These homes include mostly brick exteriors with traditional architecture including front porches, gabled roofs, and built-in garages. The streetscapes are tree-lined with sidewalks, dedicated bicycle lanes, and pretty cast-iron street lamps.
Beaty has schools, many parks, a library, and a shopping center in the southern corner. It has easy access to Highway 401. Here are shopping options, restaurants, and notable place in the area; 1 Metro Milton and 3 other grocery stores, 1 Starbucks and 1 other coffee shop, 1 Shoppers Drug Mart and 2 other pharmacies
Beaty has 5 Public schools, and 6 Catholic schools, in this neighborhood, your kids can get a great education.

“Nestled in the heart of Hawthorne Village in southeast Milton, Guardian Angels School is a two-storey school with a unique architectural design. The school opened in September 2004 as the first school with school uniforms in our system.
WHAT ARE GUARDIAN ANGELS?
Guardian Angels are blessed spirits appointed by God to be protectors and defenders of mankind. Faith teaches us that we all have Guardian Angels who watch over us during the whole course of our lives. Guardian Angels strive to keep us on the right path, suggest good thoughts and holy desires, offer our prayers and good actions to God and, above all, assist us at the hour of death. Pope Francis reminds us that we can examine our own conscience: “How is my relationship with my guardian angel? Do I listen to him? Do I speak to him? Do I ask for his advice? Is he beside me?”…In doing so, we evaluate “the relationship with this angel that the Lord has sent to guard us and accompany us on the path, and who always beholds the face of the Father who is in Heaven.” The feast day of Guardian Angels is observed on October 2.” As originally published by Guardian Angels Catholic ES
